Qatar Participates in Ministerial Forum on Leveraging the Outcomes of the Second World Summit for Social Development

The State of Qatar participated in the Ministerial Forum titled "Leveraging the Outcomes of the Second World Summit for Social Development – From Copenhagen to Doha: Mobilizing National Action Toward 2030 and Beyond." During her speech, Her Excellency Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family, emphasized the importance of translating the outcomes of the Second World Summit for Social Development—hosted by the State of Qatar in November 2025—into practical policies and initiatives at both national and international levels. She noted that the "Doha Political Declaration" serves as an ambitious document to accelerate progress toward inclusive social development for all and to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a focus on eradicating poverty, promoting decent work, social inclusion, and ensuring that no one is left behind.

Her Excellency also reviewed the efforts of the State of Qatar at the national level, including the launch of the Ministry of Social Development and Family's National Strategy for the period 2025–2030 under the theme "From Care to Empowerment." This strategy aims to strengthen the role of the family, empower women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly, and encourage community participation and volunteer work, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, which places the human being at the heart of development.

Furthermore, Her Excellency stressed the significance of strategic partnerships between the State of Qatar and the United Nations in following up on the implementation of international commitments for social development. She reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to working with all partners to ensure the realization of social development for everyone, particularly in developing countries.
