MSDF Participates in Initiative to Support Persons with Disabilities

The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by the Department of Social Care, recently took part in the second edition of the "My Family, My Success" competition. Organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at Aisha Bint Abi Bakr Secondary School for Girls, the initiative was specifically designed to provide dedicated support and empowerment for persons with disabilities.

Building on the momentum of its inaugural launch, this latest edition underscores the strategic cooperation between MSDF and educational authorities. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between the school environment and the domestic sphere, recognizing that the synergy between both is vital for the academic and personal development of students. This year’s competition showcased a diverse array of creative disciplines, ranging from painting and poetry to digital video design and handcrafted artistic models.

In terms of objectives, the initiative seeks to foster a spirit of innovation and positive competition among students and their families. By positioning the family as a fundamental pillar of success, the program highlights the necessity of home-based support—particularly for students with disabilities—to ensure they have equal access to creative opportunities. Furthermore, the event serves as a platform to reinforce Qatari national identity, encouraging participants to express values of belonging through their creative contributions.

Concluding the event, MSDF formally honored the school administration for its tireless efforts and ongoing collaboration in enhancing community partnerships. This recognition reflects the Ministry’s dedication to social responsibility and its commitment to supporting priority groups. Through these integrated programs, MSDF continues to champion the social and educational empowerment of persons with disabilities, striving toward an inclusive society that promotes diversity and social solidarity.
