MSDF Organizes "Safe Homes" Lecture
The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Development Department and in cooperation with the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), organized an awareness lecture titled "Safe Homes" from June 10 to 11.
The lecture was presented by Ms. Noura Al-Jarboui, a community awareness specialist at the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman). It aimed to enhance family awareness and solidify the concepts of psychological and social security within the family by focusing on the importance of dialogue, containment, and building healthy family relationships, while also highlighting the mother's role in achieving psychological and societal stability for her family.
The lecture covered several key pillars, including the concept of a safe home, family psychological security, empowering parents through positive communication, conflict resolution skills, women's rights and duties within the family, and strengthening the community's role in protection.
Regarding the pillar of empowering parents through positive communication, Ms. Noura Al-Jarboui emphasized the importance of active listening, respecting other opinions, expressing feelings calmly, engaging in positive dialogue, and avoiding escalation and anger.
In this context, Ms. Fatima Mohamed Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Family Development Department at the Ministry, stated: "The Ministry of Social Development and Family seeks to enhance community awareness and support initiatives aimed at building a safe and stable family environment. This is achieved by organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops to discuss family, women, and child issues in coordination with government and non-governmental entities, serving the Ministry’s goals, fulfilling the Qatar National Vision 2030, and ultimately benefiting the family and society as a whole."
