MSDF opens ‘From the Homeland’ Exhibition under Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture
Under the patronage of Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani has inaugurated the ‘From the Homeland’ exhibition, as part of the activities of Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture.
The exhibition is being organized by the Social & Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) and Qatar Museums in M7, Msheireb Downtown Doha until November 7.
The event aims to integrate Qatari and Moroccan cultures and enhance cooperation between them in the fields of production and marketing, with the participation of Qatari and Moroccan production projects, reflecting the interconnectedness and harmony between the Qatari and Moroccan heritages.
In a statement to QNA, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Qatar H E Mohamed Setri stressed that the activities of Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture reflect the depth of the fraternal relations between the Qatar and Morocco, noting that the ‘From the Homeland’ exhibition highlights the cultural ties and commonalities between the two brotherly peoples.
Nine diverse Qatari projects are participating in the exhibition, in addition to three youth initiatives and five projects from the Kingdom of Morocco.
The production fields vary between leather printing, designing abayas, gifts, jewelry, cosmetics, perfumes and incense.
The exhibition also offers a number of training workshops for public such as the flower arrangement workshop, the ‘Prints Without Borders’ initiative presentation, the bag accessories workshop, and the henna engraving workshop.
