MSDF Launches 'Little Employee' Initiative to Foster Responsibility and Belonging Among Youth

The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by its Human Resources Department, participated for the first time in the "Little Employee" initiative. This program aims to introduce students to the government work environment, develop their life and career skills, and enhance their understanding of administrative and service roles within national institutions, while instilling corporate responsibility and national belonging from an early age.

The initiative saw the participation of 15 children of MSDF employees, who were deployed across various departments. This provided them with a hands-on field experience to learn about their parents' professional duties and gain close insights into government operations and their diverse roles.

Mr. Hamad Obaidan, Director of the Human Resources Department, emphasized that the ministry's involvement aligns with its ongoing efforts to instill a work culture and values of responsibility and national identity in the younger generation. He added that the initiative resonates with the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030 by preparing a conscious generation that appreciates institutional work and the role parents play in community service.

Obaidan further highlighted MSDF’s commitment to human investment as the primary driver of development, stating: "We believe that a cohesive family is the foundation of a strong society. This initiative strengthens family bonds through shared experiences and values between parents and children. Investing in future generations is a firm commitment we strive to achieve within our developmental mission."

The "Little Employee" initiative aims to stimulate intellectual curiosity, boost self-confidence, and inspire participants to envision their future roles in supporting Qatar’s growing economy. It underscores the balance between career and family life, youth empowerment, and family engagement in building resilient institutions and cohesive communities. By offering a real-world workplace experience, MSDF seeks to encourage youth to explore future career paths that contribute to the nation's growth and service.
