MSDF Launches Campaign to Enhance Children’s Psychological Well-being
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has launched an awareness initiative across social media platforms aimed at supporting children’s mental health and fostering a sense of security amidst current regional developments.
In its announcement, MSDF emphasized the pivotal role parents play in providing the moral support and emotional containment necessary for their children’s well-being. The campaign features a series of practical guidelines for families, highlighting the importance of staying close to children and listening to their fears and questions with an open heart. MSDF noted that a warm and consistent parental presence serves as the primary line of defense in protecting children from anxiety and stress.
To ensure a child’s psychological stability, MSDF outlined several essential steps, starting with maintaining a calm dialogue and reassuring children using clear, simplified language tailored to their age. The Ministry also stressed the importance of emotional containment, which involves embracing a child’s feelings and listening attentively to their questions without dismissal or marginalization. Furthermore, MSDF advised parents to regulate media consumption by shielding children from intensive news coverage or graphic imagery that may exceed their cognitive capacity. Maintaining a consistent daily routine was also highlighted as a key factor in providing children with a sense of stability and predictability.
The MSDF initiative underscored that explaining current events in simple, reassuring terms is vital to helping children overcome anxiety. Under the slogan "Together, We Grant Our Children Peace of Mind," the Ministry called upon all families to prioritize quality time with their children. This collective effort aims to build a resilient generation capable of navigating modern challenges with psychological balance and emotional steadiness.
