MSDF Concludes 2025 Financial Literacy Program

The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has successfully concluded its 2025 "Financial Literacy" program. Running from July through December, the initiative aimed to foster sound financial management and economic sustainability within Qatari families.

The 2025 cycle delivered 16 specialized lectures, benefiting 644 participants, including university students, newlyweds, and new employees. The program’s final phase, held in November and December, featured four key sessions organized in collaboration with strategic partners, including the Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, and Lusail University.

The year-end sessions focused on practical financial skills tailored to different demographics:

  • Smart Consumption: New government employees attended a session titled "Consumption Tools: Smart and Responsible Use," led by Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari (QFBA). A similar session was held for male students at Lusail University, covering modern banking tools, account security, and statement analysis.
  • Financial Mindset: Female students at Lusail University participated in a workshop titled "The Financial Mindset: How to Build Successful Habits," presented by Maha Al-Sulaiti, which focused on balanced spending and practical saving plans.
  • Income Diversification: In December, a session on "Diversifying Income Sources: Using Creative and Design Thinking" was held for a large group of new public sector employees.

MSDF extended its gratitude to the partners who contributed to the program’s success:

  • Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA)
  • Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants
  • Lusail University
  • Civil Service and Government Development Bureau
  • Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College
  • Ministry of Culture (specifically Qatar Youth Hostels, Al-Rayada Girls Center, Qatar Girls Center, and Al-Khor Girls Center)
  • Katara Cultural Village

The program covered a broad spectrum of topics, from early financial planning and personal budgeting to family resource management.
