Building Stronger Bonds: Third Edition of 'Home-Grown' Bazaar Hosts Successful 'Family Day’ 2025
The Ministry of Social Development and Family, in collaboration with the Museum of Islamic Art, successfully hosted "Family Day" on March 5, 2025, as part of the third edition of the "Home-Grown" Bazaar. The event, overseen by the Family Empowerment Department, lasted from 8 PM to 11 PM.
This inaugural initiative brought together ministry employees and their children for interactive workshops and competitions to foster social engagement. The event also showcased initiatives and activities contributing to a sustainable community.
The 'Family Day' exhibition presented the ministry's initiatives and the Museum of Islamic Art's 'Home-Grown' projects. These household-based projects promote sustainability and production, with the ministry offering support for skill development and increased productivity.
The Ministry of Social Development and Family aims to reinforce the importance of family as a cornerstone of Qatari society. The event provided an opportunity to strengthen employee relationships outside the workplace, particularly during the festive atmosphere of the holy month. Activities included children’s competitions and rewards, storytelling sessions, and family-oriented awareness activities focused on enhancing communication and social cohesion.
Fatima Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, stated, "Organizing 'Family Day' reflects the ministry’s commitment to enhancing family bonds among employees and their families through engaging workshops and competitions."
Aligned with Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy 2030, a plan to build stable and prosperous communities through enhanced family relationships and social cohesion, the collaboration between the Ministry of Social Development and Family and the Museum of Islamic Art is a significant step towards strengthening family ties in Qatari society.
